I, for one, am guilty of being the latter on most days but I have found a few things that help me get my day started. It’s important to have some kind of routine for yourself when you wake up and start your day. A good habit to get into is to start working out. Most people recommend to work out first thing in the morning to get you going and pumped up for the day. This is good because it helps to clear your head and gets you ready to go so you can attack your goals first thing in the day.

Eating a healthy breakfast is important because you want to make sure that you nourish your body, especially after you work out. You want to start the day off right and eat healthy foods to help get the vitamins and nutrients that you need to keep your body in tip-top shape. What’s the first thing you do when you sit down to work or get into the office? Do you spend time reading the news or catching up on Facebook? The best way to start your day off right for success is to go through all your IMPORTANT emails. This helps you respond to what needs your attention and get you in a working mood, which is always more important than reading about the new celebrity breakup. After you read and respond to your important emails, clear your inbox and move on to the next step.
Set Your Priorities
After taking care of your emails you want to set your priorities. Look at what is on your schedule and what needs to be done and take care of that first. You always want to take care of the most important things first instead of pushing them off until later in the day. Each day go over your goals, look at what you need to do to get closer and then determine what your goals are for the day to achieve what you need to get closer to the bigger goal that you have. The little steps and goals are always important to achieve the bigger goal.
